SOTU

Tonight is the State of the Union. With approval ratings lower than Nixons at the time of Watergate, Bush has no where to go but up. I look forward to tonight with prayerful optimism. Just a few items I will be searching for in the speech that I will be looking for and taking notes on. (in no particular order)

1. Recognize Global Warming is a threat.

2. Pass the minimum wage bill

3. Work on health care coverage for all Americans.

4. Work on a humane soulution to the immigration problem.

5. A realistic solution and plan to end the violence in Iraq and Afghanisthan and bring our troops home.

6. An end to the partisan divide in DC.

7. The Common Good.

8. An solution to corporate greed and materialism - stop outsourcing our jobs!

Over at GOP Catholic Central it is said that - "The President recognizes and appreciates the work of religious and lay members within the Church to preserve the dignity and equality of all throughout the world." So I will be looking for a bit of that as well.
